Luminary Dinner Table

Last updated: 28/07/2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and participation in events, waitlists, and applications associated with The Luminary Dinner Series (the "Series"), operated by Conscious Survival Guide Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), a company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. By joining our waitlist, submitting an application, accepting an invitation, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Series

The Luminary Dinner Series is an invitation-only, curated dining experience for women leaders in Atlantic Canada. The core dinner events are complimentary for invited guests. Certain extension events within the Series — including the Luminary High Tea and the annual Reunion — are ticketed, and remain invitation-only or waitlist-based even where a fee applies.

Attendance at any event is not guaranteed by submitting an application, joining the waitlist, or expressing interest. We reserve the right to determine guest lists at our sole discretion.

2. Eligibility & Invitations

  • You must be at least 18 years old to apply, join the waitlist, or attend, unless attending as part of a specifically designated event (such as the Luminary High Tea) that permits accompanied minors under its own stated terms.

  • An invitation is personal to the named guest and is non-transferable unless we approve a substitution in writing.

  • We reserve the right to rescind an invitation at any time, including after acceptance, for reasons including but not limited to conduct concerns, capacity changes, or sponsor conflicts.

3. Ticketed Events (Luminary High Tea, Reunion & Other Designated Events)

Some Series events carry a fee. Where an event is ticketed:

  • Prices are listed in CAD and due in full at the time of registration; your seat is confirmed only once payment is received.

  • A ticket does not by itself guarantee an invitation to future Series events.

  • We reserve the right to change pricing for future ticketed events without notice; confirmed bookings are honoured at the price paid.

4. Cancellations & Refunds (Ticketed Events)

  • Within 7 days of purchase: you're eligible for a full refund.

  • More than 7 days after purchase: your ticket is non-refundable, except that if you cancel at least two weeks before the event date, we may, at our discretion, refund your payment or apply it as credit toward a future dinner, whichever you prefer.

  • No-shows are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.

  • Cancelling an event — even with reasonable notice, such as two weeks — may, depending on the circumstances, affect your eligibility for future invitations to Luminary dinners, reunions, and other Series events, at our sole discretion.

5. Code of Conduct & Confidentiality

Our dinners are built on genuine, off-the-record connection. By attending any Series event, you agree to:

  • Treat fellow guests, hosts, and staff with respect.

  • Keep personal stories and conversations shared at the event confidential, unless the person who shared them consents otherwise.

  • Refrain from soliciting other guests for business, sales, or recruitment purposes without their consent.

  • We may remove any guest from an event, without refund, for conduct that violates this section or otherwise disrupts the experience.

6. Photography, Video & Media Release

  • Official photographers and videographers may be present at our events. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed and grant Conscious Survival Guide Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your image, likeness, and voice captured at the event for marketing, social media, press, and archival purposes, without additional compensation. If you prefer not to be photographed, notify us in writing before the event and we will ask our photographer to avoid you where reasonably possible; we cannot guarantee exclusion from wide/group shots.

7. Health, Dietary Needs & Allergies

  • You are responsible for notifying us of dietary restrictions or allergies in advance. While we take reasonable care to accommodate stated restrictions, we are not liable for reactions arising from failure to disclose an allergy or restriction in advance, or from cross-contamination at third-party venues.

8. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

You attend our events voluntarily — whether a complimentary Series dinner or a ticketed event — and assume all risks associated with attendance, including risks related to food, venue conditions, and travel to and from the event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conscious Survival Guide Inc., its directors, staff, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Nova Scotia or Canadian law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Sponsors & Third-Party Content

Our events may be supported by sponsors whose products, services, or representatives may be present. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of third-party sponsors or vendors.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the Luminary Dinner Series name, branding, photography, and written content — is owned by Conscious Survival Guide Inc. or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

11. Privacy

We collect personal information to manage applications, invitations, ticketing, and events, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For details, see our [Privacy Policy].

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to hold or complete an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, public health orders, venue closures, or other emergencies.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in the Series after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia.
