Like the previous dinner, the third Luminary Dinner took place at Five Fisherman - one of Halifax's most iconic, long-standing restaurants - and it was a night that wouldn't have been possible without the most incredible group of people rising to the occasion. Our beverage sponsors, The Grafton Connor Group, kept the evening flowing. Caitlyn Hamblin captured every moment on video, and Kaylin Amelia Studios behind the lens made sure nothing was missed. Madusha Ranaweera
Madusha is the Founder/Host of the Luminary Dinner Series, along with being the CEO of CSG Inc., and the Disconnection Lounge Halifax Inc. She first held a C-suite position at 28 years old, as a CMO, and then became a CEO by 31, leading Bio Foods - a 900+ person organic and fair trade food export company of over 30 years. She handled a post-covid recovery, dealing with 9 factories, while living on 3 continents, dealing with an international board and shareholders across Europe, Canada, and Asia. She earned the Woman Super Achiever Award from the World Women Leadership Congress, got featured in Biznomics and CEO Magazine, and has a first-class Master's from St. Andrews in psychology and neuroscience. She also studied at Acadia University right here in Nova Scotia. Now, through Conscious Survival Guide, she consults for startups and businesses, and particularly loves working on leadership development for women and underrepresented minorities. Rebekah Streeter
Rebekah Streeter-Rad is our co-host and the Founder of VODA Retreats, a wellness brand helping organizations and individuals turn self-care into simple, repeatable micro-habits using scent cues, aromatherapy products, and guided experiences. With a background in dance and the arts, she learned early how small practices become muscle memory—and after navigating her own burnout while running a bed and breakfast, she built Voda to make that same "habit training" accessible at scale. She's a Director for the Family Business Association of Atlantic Canada, a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) member, and hosts the podcast Calm Currents. She creates curated wellness products, digital wellness experiences with QR-linked guides, and custom corporate wellness solutions for events and retreats. Christine Hanson
Christine Hanson- Regional Director for North America of NATO DIANA- is a diplomat, international lawyer, and one of the most consequential public servants Atlantic Canada has ever produced. She has served at NATO as Regional Director for North America of NATO DIANA — the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic- since February 2025, who are now headquartered right here in Halifax. Canadian innovators led the entire NATO alliance in program applications, and 22 of the 150 companies selected for NATO DIANA's 2026 cohort are Canadian. Her career before NATO reads like a masterclass in public service at the highest levels. She served as Minister-Counsellor for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Embassy of Canada in Washington D.C. — leading Canada's relationship with the US Congress for nearly five years. She then served as CEO of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for five years, before being appointed Executive Director and CAO of the Mass Casualty Commission — overseeing one of the most significant public inquiries in Nova Scotia's history. She subsequently served as Regional Director of International Trade for Atlantic Canada at Global Affairs Canada before stepping into her NATO role. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of the Treaty Law Division at Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa. She holds a graduate degree in international law from Georgetown University in Washington, and degrees in law, public administration, and political science from Dalhousie University. She is a Dalhousie University Building a Better World Award recipient and an International Women's Forum Global Leadership Foundation Fellow. She is also a partner of Three Wise Women — a platform dedicated to educating and finding solutions for the menopause experience that half the world's population will face.
Stephanie Sarchfield
Stephanie Sarchfield is a Senior Manager of Commercial Services with TD Commercial Bank, where she leads a team of Commercial bankers across Nova Scotia. With 18 years of banking experience spanning the three Maritime provinces, Stephanie has built a career rooted in community, relationships, and meaningful financial impact. Her banking journey began at BMO Financial Group in 2008, where she spent 14 years climbing the ladder before joining TD in 2022 and making Nova Scotia home. Today she leads her commercial banking team across the province, helping individuals and businesses build their lives through access to capital and trusted financial expertise. She is particularly passionate about helping women navigate the banking system to access capital and financial expertise, and about mentoring the next generation of emerging banking professionals. She believes deeply that the actions taken today are creating stepping stones for the next generation to evolve beyond what exists now. She is a proud mom and wife, and when she's not leading her team, you'll find her at hockey rinks, parks, and hiking trails across Nova Scotia.
Pernille Fischer Boulter
Pernille founded Kisserup International Trade Roots in 1998, building it into a global enterprise. Today she leads Kisserup International Trade Roots Canada Inc., Kisserup Europe, and Kisserup Arctic, with a track record spanning over 25 years of international business experience. She provides advisory services, project management, trade training, and consulting to public and private sector organizations worldwide, and has established joint ventures across the Arctic, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific. She has worked on projects in over 60 countries, across 25 sectors, on six continents, and currently sits on several international boards. Trade Ready Her project portfolio includes contracts funded by the Government of Canada, the European Development Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Caribbean Development Bank — several of which have been recognized as Best Practices in SME Development. Pernille holds a Master of Business from the Copenhagen School of Business (1997), a Certificate in Project Management from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, and a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT). In 2018, she completed an Executive Management Programme in Leadership and Innovation from INSEAD in France. She was appointed to the Atlantic Growth Advisory Board in 2018, named one of Canada's Top 25 Women of Influence by Women of Influence® in 2014, and was consecutively nominated for the RBC Women Entrepreneur Awards from 2006 to 2019. She also served as the Nova Scotia representative on the Federal SME Advisory Board to the Federal Minister of International Trade from 2002 to 2007. She authored Tales from an Immigrant Entrepreneur: One Woman's Story — a lively, inspirational chronicle of her journey as a Danish immigrant who arrived in Canada in 1998 and built a global business from the ground up.
Suzanne Rix
Suzanne Rix is the Managing Partner of Cox & Palmer's Halifax — one of Atlantic Canada's largest and most respected law firms, with approximately 200 lawyers across all four Atlantic provinces. She also serves as Chair of the firm's Immigration Practice Group, bringing 25 years of expertise in Canadian immigration law to some of the region's most complex and high-stakes files. In her practice, Suzanne acts for regional, national, and international companies in the relocation and retention of foreign workers — assisting clients with Canadian Permanent Resident status under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program, provincial and federal immigration programs, and Canadian citizenship applications. She holds a JD from Dalhousie Law School and a BA Honours in French and German from Dalhousie University — and is the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Canadian Maritime Provinces. Her accolades are formidable: she was designated King's Counsel in 2021, awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022, and has been continuously recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Immigration Law since 2013 and in the Canadian Lexpert Directory as a Leading Lawyer in Immigration Law since 2012. She is a past Chair of the Citizenship and Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association of Nova Scotia and a past Executive Member of the National Citizenship and Immigration Law Executive of the Canadian Bar Association.
Roxanne Tate
Roxanne Tate is the Founder & President, Tate Engineering Inc. She is a professional engineer and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience across research, manufacturing, energy consulting, and project and construction management. She holds a Master of Applied Science from Dalhousie University — where her research focused on biodiesel fuels — and has developed deep expertise in energy auditing, benchmarking, modelling, and net zero energy approaches. She is the Founder and President of Tate Engineering Inc., working with clients across sectors to support energy-efficient design, reduce demand, and navigate the full project lifecycle from early concept through construction and occupancy. She is a Fellow of Engineers Canada, a Certified Energy Manager, and holds a Green Globes Professional designation — a formidable credential stack that reflects the breadth and depth of her expertise. Roxanne has contributed to the engineering community as a Councillor for Engineers Nova Scotia and Board Member for Consulting Engineers of Nova Scotia. She participates in mentorship and leadership programs through the Centre for Women in Business, with a particular interest in supporting women in engineering and entrepreneurship. In May 2026, Roxanne was honoured with a Family Business Atlantic Award of Excellence. She is guided by the belief that the built environment influences how communities grow, connect, and thrive — and brings a purpose-driven approach to every project, centred on solving real-world problems and supporting a resilient, responsible future.
Wendy Brookhouse
Wendy Brookhouse is the award-winning Founder and Chief Strategist of Black Star Wealth, a boutique financial planning firm. For over 15 years she has been helping professionals, business owners, and families change their relationship with money and increase their financial health — using proprietary financial planning tools that enable people to enjoy life today while planning for tomorrow. A Certified Financial Planner with an Executive MBA from Saint Mary's University, Wendy addresses not just the math of wealth-building, but the behaviours and beliefs that keep people from acting in their own financial best interests. Her firm, Black Star Wealth, serves clients from across the country virtually from Halifax, with her flagship proprietary tools — the Total Wealth Blueprint and the Business Value Amplifier — giving business owners a comprehensive framework to amplify their health, relationships, and wealth. She is the host of The Real Bottom Line Podcast and the author of Burn Your Budget: How to Spend Your Way to Financial Freedom. She serves on the faculty of the Women's Leadership Intensive, and has served as chair and director of Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia and Junior Achievement of Canada. Katrina Beach
Katrina Beach is a Partner in Assurance Services at Doane Grant Thornton LLP and the Assurance Service Line Leader for Nova Scotia — leading a team of approximately 200 professionals. With over 30 years of experience as a business advisor, she helps clients navigate growth and succession planning, strategic business decisions, and complex financial reporting challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University and carries some of the most prestigious designations in the Canadian accounting profession — including Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA), awarded in 2023 in recognition of her extensive contribution to the profession through leadership and service. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants, a Chartered Public Accountant, and a Certified Public Accountant recognized by the Illinois Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Before joining Doane Grant Thornton, and while still in her twenties, Katrina served as CFO of a large private company and its subsidiaries — managing multiple financial teams, the purchase and sale of businesses, and a public offering. It is a distinction that speaks volumes about the calibre of financial mind she has always been. She has particular expertise in post-secondary institutions, real estate and construction, charities and not-for-profit organizations, alternative energy, and multi-generational privately held family businesses. She serves on the Doane Grant Thornton Partnership Board, the CPA Nova Scotia Professional Development and Conduct Committees, and the CPA NS Education Foundation. She previously served as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee at the University of King's College Board of Governors for over a decade.
Nathalie (Rousseau) Morin
Nathalie Morin is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of ROUSSEAU Chocolatier — Halifax's internationally award-winning artisan chocolate boutique, founded in 2014 alongside her husband, Master Chocolatier Julien Rousseau. Their story began long before there was a shop. Together they travelled from Quebec to France, England, and the far north of Scotland — working alongside great chocolatiers and deepening their understanding of the craft — before choosing Nova Scotia as the place to build their business, raise their family, and put down roots. Nathalie leads the business side of ROUSSEAU, with a particular focus on people — building genuine relationships, bringing ideas and collaborators together, and creating opportunities for others to grow. She is especially passionate about supporting women in business and building a workplace where people feel valued for who they are. A largely self-taught entrepreneur, mother of two, and natural connector, she brings candour, curiosity, and care to everything she does. Under their leadership, ROUSSEAU has grown from a small Halifax atelier into a brand with a global reputation. Their bespoke chocolate collections have been served at the coronation of King Charles, featured at the Ritz-Carlton, and celebrated with four international awards — including two Silver medals from the Academy of Chocolate Awards in London in 2025. Their prestigious client roster includes the MUIR Hotel, Fox Harb'r, Simons Canada, and Benjamin Bridge Winery.
Dawn MacLachlan
Dawn MacLachlan is a Principal and Co-Owner of MAC Interior Design Inc. — the largest interior design firm in Atlantic Canada, based in downtown Halifax. With over 40 years of experience as a Registered Interior Designer, Dawn leads a studio of nine creatives including interior designers, interns, and CAD technologists, specialising in corporate and hospitality design. Her portfolio includes the who's who of Halifax's most celebrated dining and hospitality destinations — Via Condotti, Matadora Tapas Bar, Asia, Crème, Pane e Circo, Nine Locks Tap Room in Bedford West, and the Southwest Properties Offices. Three of her projects have been recognised with Atlantic Interior Design Awards — the highest honour for interior design excellence in Atlantic Canada, presented by the Interior Designers of Nova Scotia — Matadora Tapas Bar, Pane e Circo, and the Southwest Properties Offices. She is a Registered Member of the Interior Designers of Nova Scotia, and is currently working on the interior design of the Disconnection Lounge at the Nova Centre in Halifax. Beyond her professional work, Dawn is involved in charitable initiatives including Feed NS CANstruction and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia's Different Stage of Mind campaign.
Missy Searl
Missy Searl is the Executive Director & Founder of Period Equity Alliance Society. She is also the CEO & Owner of The Cultivated Taste an experienced facilitator, educator, and community leader with more than 21 years of experience in adult education. Her professional background spans Early Childhood Education, Family Support Community Home Visiting, and community-based education and training. She has worked with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development and the Association for Workplace Education in Nova Scotia, training and facilitating programs for entrepreneurs and organizations across the province. She currently serves as Director of Nurturing Strong Family and Community Wellness Programs. She is the Executive Director and Founder of the Period Equity Alliance Society — a not-for-profit she built from a grassroots idea into one of Nova Scotia's most impactful community organizations. Driven by the belief that menstrual equity is about dignity, access, education, and inclusion — not just products — Missy has spent years bringing people, organizations, and communities together to turn compassion into sustainable action. In January 2026, this work earned her the Halifax Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year Award. In September 2026, she will be honoured as one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women. In May 2026, Missy made a bold entrepreneurial move — acquiring the Halifax Cocktail Festival and East Coast Cider Fest through her company, The Cultivated Taste, of which she is CEO and Owner. Beyond all of this, she serves as Co-Chair of the HFX Wanderers FC IDEA Committee, a member of the Rise Helps Loan Review Committee, Board Chair of Bridgeway Academy, and a member of the Eastern Passage Food Security Society board.
Colette Robicheau
Colette Robicheau is the Founder of Organize Anything, Colette Robicheau & Associates, and a Co-Founder of 100+ Women Who Care Halifax. She is a Work-Life Strategist, Certified Professional Organizer, Executive Presence Coach, international speaker, and LinkedIn consultant — and one of Halifax's most prolific community builders. She is the founder of Organize Anything, a productivity and coaching practice she has been running since 2002, and of Colette Robicheau & Associates, her executive presence and productivity coaching firm. She is one of the few Platinum Members in Canada of Professional Organizers in Canada — a distinction reserved for long-standing members who have made exceptional, sustained contributions to the profession. She holds a Certificate in Adult Education, a Co-Active Coach Training certification, a Certified Professional Organizer designation, and is a Master Trainer in the CD and Organization Training Program. In 2012, Colette co-founded 100+ Women Who Care Halifax — the first chapter of its kind in Atlantic Canada — which has since raised over $500,000 for local community organizations. She is a Provincial Volunteer Award recipient from the Premier of Nova Scotia, has received the Outstanding Volunteer Services Award from Halifax Regional Municipality, the Courage to Give Indomitable Spirit Award, and the Professional Organizers of Canada Ambassador Award. She also co-founded The Diversity Marketplace in 2022 and is a trained education facilitator for Professional Organizers in Canada.
Ingrid Deon
Ingrid Deon is a proud Acadian entrepreneur, journalist, and community leader from West Pubnico, Nova Scotia. She began her career as a journalist, spending five years in radio and newspaper before moving into politics as an Outreach Officer for the Nova Scotia NDP Caucus from 2007 to 2011. She founded word-craft in 2019 after working at a digital marketing agency in Halifax and Toronto for more than three years. Today, word-craft is a team of six talented women headquartered in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, working with clients across Canada. The company specialises in organic social media strategy and content creation, with a client roster that includes Nestlé Canada, Crosby's Molasses, and King Cole Tea. word-craft won the Provincial Spotlight Award at Digital Nova Scotia's Tech Forward Awards and the Rising Star Award at the Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce Awards. Ingrid was also a Finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2024, and is a TEDx Speaker. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College, is fluently bilingual, and ran as the federal NDP candidate for Acadie-Annapolis in the 2025 federal election. She has recently been appointed Vice President of the Nova Scotia NDP. She serves as President of the Conseil acadien de Par-en-Bas and is passionate about creating employment opportunities for people in the Yarmouth area and supporting rural economic development across Nova Scotia.
Sana Khurana
Sana Khurana is the owner & Executive Director, Sylvan Learning HRM | Founder, NutriEasy Inc. | Co-Founder, Mind Edutainment Pvt. Ltd. She is a serial entrepreneur, innovator, certified Creative Arts and Dance Movement Therapist, and community connector with more than two decades of experience spanning education, marketing, personal development, and food innovation. Earlier in her career, she also worked to support and empower women affected by domestic, sexual, and psychological abuse. In India, Sana co-founded Mind Edutainment Pvt. Ltd. — where she helped pioneer higher-order thinking skills education and created India's first dedicated thinking skills lab for schools, the Higher Order Thinking Lab. The company's programs reached more than 50,000 students across 40 schools and earned national and international recognition — including The Economic Times Power of Ideas Award, Asia's Best Innovation in Education, and recognition from the Confederation of Indian Industry for creating learning excellence through innovative classroom design. After immigrating to Canada, Sana rebuilt her entrepreneurial journey from the ground up. She is now the Owner and Executive Director of Sylvan Learning HRM — where students achieve up to three times more growth in math and reading than their peers — and the Founder of NutriEasy Inc., creator of Nutri-3, a Nova Scotia food brand making nourishing, plant-based convenience foods for busy lives. She was recognised as a finalist for the 2024 ISANS Immigrant Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award and actively mentors and supports immigrant entrepreneurs across her community.
Glennie Langille
Glennie Langille is a strategic communications consultant with a remarkable career spanning broadcast journalism, corporate and political communications, the civil service, and the not-for-profit world. She is the founder of Langille Consulting Services — offering strategic communications support, speech writing, communications planning, website strategy, and media and performance coaching and training. She began her career as a radio and television journalist — working across CBC Television, CTV Television, CBC Radio, private film production, and private radio across Halifax, Fredericton, Moncton, and Charlottetown for nearly 24 years — winning multiple national awards for her work. From there she moved into strategic communications, serving as Director of Communications and Director of Outreach for the Liberal Caucus Office, working alongside former Premier Stephen McNeil on his journey from Leader of the Third Party to the Premier's Office. From 2013 to 2021, she served as Chief of Protocol and Director of Military Relations for the Province of Nova Scotia — planning and executing the 2014 Royal Tour, the Order of Nova Scotia investitures, and some of the most significant state ceremonies this province has ever seen. She has coached executives and politicians at the top of their game, and is renowned for compelling storytelling, nurturing teams, and diplomatic finesse. She volunteers as President of the Pictou County Fuel Fund and serves as a Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada — Atlantic Chapter.
Ariana McNally
Ariana McNally is the President of Emerging Outcomes Coaching & Development. She is also the Co-Founder of Surefooted. Ariana is an Executive Coach, Leadership Advisor and entrepreneur who helps leaders strengthen how they think, decide and lead as their organizations and responsibilities grow. As President of Emerging Outcomes Coaching & Development, Ariana leads a team of ICF-credentialed Executive Coaches working across Canada and the United States. After working with Glacier Point Solutions, a California-based executive coaching firm, for a decade, she acquired the company earlier this year, expanding her business across the border. Ariana believes that as businesses grow, leadership has to grow with them. Her work helps executives & teams step out of the day-to-day, see the bigger picture, make stronger decisions and lead with greater clarity and strategic perspective. She brings more than 17 years of corporate experience across leadership, management and sales, including earning President’s Club recognition for exceeding sales targets, along with 12 years as an Executive Coach. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. Ariana is also a two-time nominee for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards. Outside of executive coaching, Ariana is also co-founder of Nova Scotia-based wellness company Surefooted and co-author of the Surefooted Journal, now available through local retailers, including Chapters.
Sally Rollings
Sally Rollings is a Business Development Manager with TD Insurance's Affinity Market Group, leading new strategic partnerships and growth initiatives across Canada. With nearly three decades of experience at TD Insurance, she has built and managed relationships with leading professional associations, post-secondary institutions, alumni organizations, and affinity partners — making her one of the most experienced partnership professionals in the Canadian insurance industry. Sally is passionate about creating mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver real value to members while supporting sustainable business growth. Her expertise spans partnership strategy, customer engagement, market development, and identifying innovative opportunities that strengthen long-term relationships between organizations and their communities.
Judith Richardson
Judith Richardson (also known as the 'Queen Maker' in her community, is a global strategist, executive leader, and one of the most well-connected business development minds in Atlantic Canada. With over 30 years of executive corporate leadership experience, she has exported consulting services to 12 countries across corporate strategy, executive leadership, team development, mergers and acquisitions, evaluation, and customer service strategies. In her current role at the Centre for Women in Business at Mount Saint Vincent University, Judith leads the Advancing Supplier Diversity in Atlantic Canada program — building and strengthening the case for the inclusion of women-owned businesses and diverse suppliers in the supply chains of major corporations, organizations, and governments. Through mentorship, masterminds, and cohort-based learning, she equips women business owners with the systems and strategies to secure a place in those supply chains. Her work history spans global companies, governmental departments, and multi-year international projects. She has been involved in over 30 publications and lectures and speaking engagements, holds master certifications in entrepreneurship, executive coaching, and facilitation, and credentials from Saint Mary's University, Dalhousie University, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Angela Szubielski
Angela Szubielski is the Founder of The Wine Spa — Halifax's only social spa, where wine, beauty, and hospitality come together in an entirely new way. Located in the heart of downtown Halifax on Hollis Street, The Wine Spa opened in 2024 and has quickly become one of the city's most vibrant destinations for spa experiences, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, and beautifully hosted events — accommodating private groups of up to 50 guests. Angela holds a BA and MBA from Dalhousie University, where she studied entrepreneurship, and is a certified sommelier. In a move that speaks to her hands-on leadership style, she also became a certified nail technician — to better understand every aspect of the business she leads. She is passionate about creating memorable experiences, building unexpected partnerships, and imagining what The Wine Spa can become next. Angela is still very much in building mode, with no shortage of ideas for what comes next.
Cindy Mann
Cindy Mann is a Senior Account Manager on BDC's Entrepreneurial Team, helping entrepreneurs across Halifax Regional Municipality and beyond access financing and advisory solutions to start, grow, and transition their businesses. She specialises in commercial real estate, working capital, equipment financing, and change of ownership transactions across a wide range of industries. Cindy joined BDC in 2024 and was recently promoted to Senior Account Manager — a swift recognition of her impact within the organization. Before joining BDC, Cindy spent nearly eight years with the Halifax Chamber of Commerce in a variety of roles, including Sales Manager. One of her proudest accomplishments was launching the Halifax Connector Program in 2009 at the Halifax Partnership — a talent attraction and retention initiative that continues to support Nova Scotia's economy to this day. A lifelong Nova Scotian who grew up in Dartmouth, Cindy is deeply embedded in her community. Caitlyn Hamblin is the Founder of Cait Collabs. A creative consultant, she has always been driven by one thing: supporting others. With over 15 years of experience, she began her career supporting executives and teams across Communications, Marketing, and Business Development, gaining hands-on experience in strategy and creative execution. She also served as President of the Atlantic Association of Administrative Professionals, where she chaired the Atlantic Board and sat on the National Board of Directors. Caitlyn launched Cait Collabs, a platform dedicated to collaborating with Canadian brands and user-generated content. Today, she works as a Creative Consultant, helping businesses, personal brands, and public figures feel supported in their marketing through social media and idea generation. Caitlyn is currently preparing to launch her next venture, a community and product-based brand centered on the idea that taking care of yourself is the foundation for supporting others.
